Methods to get rid of spots, clogged pores and blackheads?

September 2nd, 2013
obagi banner 20140516201926 Methods to get rid of spots, clogged pores and blackheads?

Hi, so lately I have been getting spots on my face and it’s ruining my skin. I have used face washes, face masks, stuff that exfoliates my face, a steam method, spot creams, tcp etc. But nothing seems to be working effectively, I was wondering if anyone could offer me some home remedies, methods for cleaning my face, tips or names of products that will actually work?
Would be much appreciated!
Thanks :-)

I would suggest you try using Jojoba Oil as it is almost identical organically-speaking to sebum, which is the natural oil produced by your skin. As well as being a great natural moisturizer it can also help with acne, Jojoba Oil penetrates into the skin without clogging pores and is suitable for all skin types it contains vitamin E and antioxidants which are great for fighting aging signs and moisturizing the skin.

Studies on jojoba oil show that it has the ability to prevent skin from becoming too oily. This is due to the fact that putting jojoba oil on our skin can trick our cells into thinking they have produced enough oil.

Remove any surface dirt from your skin, then put just a few drops of jojoba oil into your hand and rub it into your skin when you start to work jojoba oil into the skin, the oil penetrates into the pores. As jojoba closely resembles your skin’s own oil, moisturizing with jojoba oil sends the message to your pores to stop overproducing the sebum that causing the oily skin.

Initially to get rid of the stubborn deep blackheads, I would recommend that you use a baking soda/jojoba/water paste with extremely gentle circular massaging motions to break up the worst blackheads. Don’t overdo it, just massage in the baking soda/jojoba/water paste gently for a minute or two. Rinse with warm (not hot) water. Apply more jojoba oil and massage with a warm washcloth.

The idea is to get those plugs out (blackheads), and get the jojoba oil in there to keep the sebum liquid and flowing. This may take some time as the skin reacts to drying by pumping out oil, and the turnaround you’re going for is a natural distribution of oil which will leave your skin soft and balanced.

Hope this helps!

Age Spot Removal – Facts & Techniques

obagi banner 20140516201926 Age Spot Removal Facts & Techniques

Age spots
are dark browns spots that appear on your face and they look terrible. Usually when you are old you get them and many people want to focus on Age Spot Removal. I hear that a product of Obagi called the Blue Peel Cleanser works. It is very popular.  Usually you see a
lot of age spots on older women’s faces however, I am a young woman and I had one age spot. It
really helped break apart those proteins plus I use the Obagi System and my
skin looks great. When I go into doctor offices I see the booklet of Obagi and their products and I think to myself  I
already use them and they are cheaper than what this place is selling them for.
Age spots are for the sun and  the sun causes them and so I try to wear sunscreen to protect my face so that I don’t get wrinkles or age spots. My
mom uses the Obagi Nu-Derm System and she is 65 and looks great. My aunt always comments on
her skin. My aunt uses the products but they are very expensive in her state. I know she likes the skin care products and her daughter does too.. I like the fact that I am trying to prevent wrinkles
but when I look in the mirror I see more and more wrinkles. I have to try
to do anything to prevent them now. I spoke with a lady on the phone about how
she says she is now 50 and her skin looks great because when she was in her 20′s
she used anti aging products and Retin-A.  She said her grandma looked great and that maybe it is her genes but she
was boasting about her skin and the comments she gets on her skin. I am
fair skinned and I get age spots as well even at my age. I always look to see if my age spot is going to re-appear or not. I want
a cream that really helps the wrinkles around my eye area. I see that area as
wrinkling the most so I try to prevent the wrinkles. It seems everyone gets age spots and everyone wants them to be gone. I hear everything from the cause of age spots to be hormones to sunexposure. I have
this 100 SPF Sunscreen that has a tint to protect your
face . I used to go out without any sunscreen when I was younger and that was not a good idea. My fiancée
wants to look young and asks me to make him look young with skin care creams. His face
has some wrinkles and  I let him use some of my Obagi Elastiderm Night Cream.

What it seem ridiculous for a guy to get laser resurfacing?

September 2nd, 2013
obagi banner 20140516201926 What it seem ridiculous for a guy to get laser resurfacing?

Like for his face due to acne scars, sun damage/uneven skin tone tan/hyperpigmentation. Then also for his neck, lower arms, and lower legs due to sun damage/uneven skin tone tan/hyperpigmentation. I mean i know typically girls get these things done, but at this point i dont care as long as i can look good again. I know most of you would say go ahead with the laser resurfacing (maybe c02) for the face, but why for the neck, lower arms, and lower legs? I would need to get the neck, lower arms, and lower arms, because in these areas my skin feels plastic like and looks weird overall (honestly i wouldn’t care if it were a tan, but it looks darker than a tan and feels weird skin wise). I have gone this for spending too much time in the sun without any sunblock, when i was outside mowing my 1 1/4 acre of grass on foot (took 4-5 hours to and when the sun was at its strongest). Then, i would be helping my dad move some rocks and tree trunks to spot a to spot b, for another 4 hours. i would keep on doing this for many years (when i was 12-18). So should i go on with this laser resurfacing (not sure if c02 would be ideal) and would this be very costly?

yes you can go for laser resurfacing. C02 would be ideal. seek advice of best dermatology. the doctor will guide you the best of all.

How to get rid of my face hyperpigmentation uneven tone ?

September 2nd, 2013
free skin products 20140516201851 How to get rid of my face hyperpigmentation uneven tone ?

i am 23 yrs old girl. i am having an uneven face skin tone around my eyes and chin. i consulted skin specialist and he resulted it as hyperpigmentation. Some times i really got upset when it seems like dark blemishes in my upper cheeks. i have a wheatish complexion. i need some good remedy, best if it is home made natural remedies. Thank you !!

1

Slice a large lemon in half and squeeze the juice in a container. Use a cotton ball to dip in the lemon juice. Rub the lemon juice in a circular motion on the affected area. Lemon has natural bleaching properties, which is effective in treating pigmentation of the face. The acidic content of lemons helps to exfoliate the top layer of the skin and will fade pigmentation over time.
2

Leave the lemon juice on your face 5 to 10 minutes until it is dried. Wash your face with lukewarm water, then splash with cool water to close the pores. Pat dry your face with a face towel. For best results, repeat this at least 2 to 3 times per week.
3

Use an SPF 30 sunscreen to protect your skin from excessive sun exposure. If skin is exposed to the UV rays from sun for too long, treatment for pigmentation will not be effective. Use makeup and powder that contains UV protection.

Price for laser freckle removal for only 4 freckles?

September 2nd, 2013
free skin products 20140516201851 Price for laser freckle removal for only 4 freckles?

So I’ve been using a tanning drug called melanotan-2 and I got a good tan but 4 individual freckles on my face got darker and I just need them gone, so how much should a freckle removal laser cost for only 4 individual freckles?

Laser will zap it right out. Cost $750 per session for each large freckle or mole. Risk: blistering or sunburn, which can be prevented with the use of sunblock and Aquaphor.
Example from one who had laser surgery to remove freckles:
I had laser surgery to remove my freckles yesterday . . .?
she said it will be sore the first day and boy was it and she said i may have some swelling, well i woke up this morning and the skin under my eyes is swollen so bad that my eyes are almost closed. i took a goodies headache medicine because it says it contains an anti-inflammatory drug, i also have an ice pack on my eyes. What else should i do? Should what i’m already doing help?

Do you know how many freckles, moles or age spots do you have?

The next best solution is to avoid the sun. Those freckles, moles or age spots will only get larger and darker. One example from YA about tanning: "i used to go tanning A LOT, but then started to get more freckles so i stopped haha. "

Sunscreen will not protect you from getting burned.

Sunscreen does not protect you from getting moles or freckles, they will only get darker & bumpier or larger from each exposure from the sun.

Sunscreen will not protect you from skin cancer.

Sunscreen will not protect you if you have allergies, I never thought I had allergies!

Sunscreens also discolor your skin – for ever!

But I had Discoid Lupus caused from the sun. Google it. Took 12 years for mine to almost ‘fade’. I don’t want any more lupus appearing on my skin, so now I’m more & more into protecting myself. Bullous Pemphegoid is another skin disorder. Google that, too!

Take the Skin Picture Quiz – Identify These Common Skin Conditions on MedicineNet.

I’m the kind of person who has families with moles as large as raisin-size. I don’t want moles on my body, so I always have been concern about that. But, how I got lupus? I don’t know! I got it period.

The sun is more powerful than most people think.
Morgan Freeman, does he look pretty with his freckles? He’s older now, and those on his face, are no longer freckles. In the beginning of the Titanic, you’ll see the introduction of Rose DeWitt Bukater, played by Kate Winslet. Her face had a lot of freckles, covered with foundation, but you can see right through them.

Help with the oil cleansing method and blackhead removal?

September 2nd, 2013
free skin products 20140516201851 Help with the oil cleansing method and blackhead removal?

Okay, so I’ve been doing LOADS of research into curing spot-prone skin and reducing how much oil the skin produces (thus preventing spots etc) and I’m interested in trying the oil cleansing method with castor oil, jojoba oil and a few drops of tea tree as it sounds like a safe natural cure.

Does anyone have any info about whether this method actually works and any hints and tips about the method?

I do not have acne, just a few small spots on my chin and cheeks that are ALWAYS there and I also suffer from very oily, shiny skin and blackheads/huge pores on my nose cheeks and chin.

Please help!

I would suggest you keep your routine simple and do not use to many oils combinations.

I would suggest using Jojoba oil on its own. It is particularly good for skincare as it penetrates into the skin and does not clog pores. It contains vitamin E and antioxidants which are great for fighting aging signs and moisturizing the skin, plus it is also antibacterial making it great for treating acne breakouts.

- Apply a few drops of Jojoba oil in one of your palms and and rub both palms together to warm the oil before applying to your face.

- Massage the oil well into the skin to remove all traces of impurities like your make up, this should take approx a couple of minutes.

- Then take a wash cloth, wet it in clean steamy water and drape it over your face. Leave it on to cool down and pat off the excess oil off your face gently.

- Repeat another 4-5 times until you feel you skin is clear of the oil and impurities.

As for the blackheads studies on jojoba oil show that it has the ability to prevent skin from becoming too oily.

Initially to get rid of the stubborn deep blackheads\clogged pores, I would recommend that you use a baking soda/jojoba/water paste with extremely gentle circular massaging motions to break up the worst blackheads. Don’t overdo it, just massage in the baking soda/jojoba/water paste gently for a minute or two. Rinse with warm (not hot) water. Apply more jojoba oil and massage with a warm washcloth.

How to get rid of a blackhead in my ear?

obagi banner 20140516201926 How to get rid of a blackhead in my ear?

I think it’s a blackhead, in my ear, painful when I try removing it
spot cream doesn’t work on it
been there for ages, 3 months maybe?
I do clean my ears btw it won’t come out though :/ it’s not irritable but people notice it

Try using peroxide to draw it out. If that doesn’t work, stick a pin in it and add peroxide.

How I do I get a pimple and the dry skin around it to heal?

May 29th, 2013
obagi banner 20140516201926 How I do I get a pimple and the dry skin around it to heal?

This is kind of a long story, and sort of embarrassing. I had a giant zit between my eyebrows a few days ago. I washed my face with the Neutrogena grapefruit scrub (it has salicyclic acid) and applied the Yes to Tomatoes acne spot stick every ten to fifteen minutes, and the pimple started coming to a head. The next day, the skin around the zit was darker and the head had gone away somehow. I kept applying the spot treatment but now with Neosporin, and at night I washed my face with the grapefruit scrub.

The next day after I showered, the skin on and over the zit peeled away completely, The zit wasn’t at a head anymore and looked larger and more red. I didn’t put anything on it that day. The next morning, I used the grapefruit scrub again and it peeled again, but very small flakes. Some of those left open wounds where they came away (really tiny ones).

I applied some olive oil and honey, which made it smaller, for the next two days, but redness remained. Today it peeled away- there was a large, dry bump, and I sort of unconsciously picked it off. I know I shouldn’t have done that, but… ugh. There was an open wound but now it’s scabbed over partly. The skin around it is still dry and flaky, and exfoliating isn’t helping.

How do I get the wounds to heal without scarring, and how do I return the skin around it to normal? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Niacinamide face cleansing pads are an effective and simple way to keep acne away. Just place a pad on the pimple and watch it fade away. Lavender Oil helps prevent skin drying. Niacinamide also helps diminish skin-hyperpigmentation (acne scars)
Niacinamide pads are also known as Vitamin B3 pads or Nicotinamide pads. Works on body acne too.
Give them a try and you will be pleasantly surprised.

How to get rid of acne scars/hyperpigmentation? What treatment to get at a salon or spa or whatever?

May 29th, 2013
free skin products 20140516201851 How to get rid of acne scars/hyperpigmentation? What treatment to get at a salon or spa or whatever?

have acne scar and hyper pigmentation. Where do I go to get rid of it and what type of treatment do I ask for? How many sessions do you think it will take and how much will it cost (estimate)?

If you like natural ways to get rid of acne scars, you can try one of the following:
1) Apply Egg Whites to blemished areas, wait for a few minutes till they dry, then wash off. Do this 2 – 3 times a week.
2) Aloe Vera is excellent in helping to heal, as well as reduce swelling. Apply it on your face after your daily cleansing regime.
3) Baking Soda – helps to remove dead skin, therefore hastening the healing process. After application of baking soda with water, be sure to moisturise or use Olive Oil to restore the moisture.

How do I remove my freckles in one week?

May 29th, 2013
free skin products 20140516201851 How do I remove my freckles in one week?

I’ve hated my freckles since… well as long as I can remember. I’ve tried to love them, but it’s like forcing myself to like something that I clearly can’t stand! So if there are any quick and easy and very effective remedies, please let me know! I’ve heard of lemon juice… but is there anything else I could do?

There were totally 15 moles / black spots on my face and body before, I tried this mole remover and most of my moles were gone right now. But please pay attention, don’t over use in order to avoid getting scar. Hope it works for you too.

For more information, please see the following using methods, it is very useful for unwanted moles, beauty marks, black spots.

BRAND NEW DIY MOLE VANISH WART REMOVER
10 ML Skin Care non-Laser Removal

Usage:
(1) Clean the nevus and the area around it, use a toothpick (do not use a cotton stick to tip or wipe) to mix the liquid and sediment, and then tip a little amount of the mole remover and apply it onto the middle of the nevus. The area would turn to white colour after 1 minute. Use alcohol or water to clean the mole area after 10 minutes (If you tip the amount of mole remover properly, you don’t have to clean). The mole would peel off (May help with finger) in 8 to 20 days. Repeat the process again until the mole peeling off if the colour of the nevus is dark. (it is suggested applying the liquid to nevus on hands or legs first to see the results and learn to control the usage before applying the liquid to other areas of the body, DON’T TRY on FACE for the first time!)
